Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information Stoara collects when you use our applications and services, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We try to keep it short and human-readable.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the websites operated at stoara.com and to the mobile, desktop, and web applications published by Stoara (collectively, the “Services”). It applies to people who visit our websites and to people who install, register for, or otherwise use our applications.

Stoara is the data controller for the Services. Throughout this policy, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Stoara.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the Services.

Information you provide

  • Account information. If a product requires an account, we collect the email address you register with and the credentials needed to authenticate you.
  • Correspondence. If you write to us at support@stoara.com, we retain the contents of your message and any attachments to respond and keep a support record.
  • Purchases. Where purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Mac App Store, Apple processes payment. We receive a transaction identifier; we do not receive your payment card.

Information we collect automatically

  • Diagnostic data. Crash logs and minimal performance metrics, used to fix bugs. Diagnostic data does not include the contents of your documents or messages.
  • Server logs. When our web services receive a request, we record the IP address, user-agent string, and timestamp for security and rate-limiting purposes.

What we don’t collect

  • We do not embed third-party advertising or behavioural-tracking SDKs in our applications.
  • We do not collect IDFA, GAID, or other advertising identifiers.
  • We do not sell, rent, or otherwise transfer customer data to brokers.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts;
  • Respond to support requests and other correspondence;
  • Investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

4. Sharing & disclosure

We share personal information only in the limited circumstances described below.

  • Service providers. We use a small number of vendors for hosting, transactional email, and error reporting. These vendors process data on our behalf under written agreements and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
  • Legal compliance. We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Stoara, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If Stoara is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify affected users in advance.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations. Server logs are retained for up to 30 days. Support correspondence is retained for up to two years to maintain a history of prior requests.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@stoara.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

We operate Services from facilities that may be located outside your country of residence. When we transfer personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms, including standard contractual clauses where required.

9. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including TLS in transit, encryption at rest where supported by the underlying platform, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or by email where appropriate.
